Founder lessons I learned from losing my virginity…

No, not that virginity; “Losing My Virginity” was an autobiography by Richard Branson. He wrote this book, his very first one, at 42. My age now.

In the book, Branson shares his experiences and lessons learned from his many business ventures. Here are a few of the most important lessons we can take away from his story:

  1. Have an unwavering belief in yourself. Branson was never afraid to take risks and put his faith in himself and his ideas. He knew that if he worked hard and stayed focused, he could make his dreams a reality.

  2. Don't be afraid to fail. Branson was no stranger to failure, and he often used it as a learning experience. He knew that failure was a part of the journey, and he was willing to take risks and learn from his mistakes.

  3. Surround yourself with the right people. Branson was successful because he surrounded himself with people who shared his vision and could help him achieve his goals. He was also willing to take advice from those who had more experience than him.

  4. Be vulnerable. Branson openly talks about having dyslexia, ADHD and poor academic performance, and how his teacher told him he would either end up in prison or become a millionaire

  5. Have fun. Branson was passionate about his work, but he also knew how to have fun. He believed that having a good time was essential to staying motivated and achieving success.

These are just a few of the lessons we can learn from Branson's story. His autobiography is an inspiring read for anyone looking to start their own business or take their career to the next level.
