In my book, The Underdog Founder, I candidly talk about how the trauma that I faced as a child helped chisel my grit and fortitude. Tools that ultimately allowed me to power through the turbulent times of being a founder. Here are some tips on how you can use gratitude to reframe the obstacles in your way.

✅ Start a gratitude journal - When we focus on what we're thankful for in the midst of obstacles, we become more resilient and better equipped to handle difficult situations. We also start to see the good in every situation, no matter how challenging it may seem. Writing things down helps you rewire your attitude and shift your energy from negative to positive.

✅ Give gifts - Gift things to people who help you without asking. Doing something for others immediately gets you out of your head. And giving back to others is also one of the most gratifying things that you can do.

✅ Write down lessons - Write down what you’re actually learning. Think about what you have actually learned these last few challenging months. Then think about how much of a better version of yourself you are because you’ve been able to overcome what you did. Life is like a video game. The more levels you pass, the harder they get, but the better you become.

So next time you face an obstacle, try reframing it as an opportunity for growth and choosing to be grateful for the lessons it brings. You might be surprised at how much you can learn from even the most challenging situations! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
